John Chevere '99 Hello to all former grads of MHS. My name is John and I'm a 1999 graduate of MHS. Upon graduation I joined the Marine Corps. I completed 13 weeks of basic training and 17 days of marine combat training. I also went to my mos school which was 9 weeks long. I am currently in Quantico Virginia and I'm using a lot of Computer skills that Iearned in school. I just want to say hello to everyone that helped me out in Mangum and if I never got the chance to say thank you, I want to say it now so to everyone THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Take care and God bless!! John Chevere P.S. For anyone that wants to email me my account is CHEVEREJM@NT.QUANTICO.USMC.MIL John Askins '72 Hi, I just "happened" across the MHS Alumni web site today! What a pleasant surprise. Spent a delightful half-hour reading through the mail. Congrats Mary Jane, looks like all the hard work at SWOSU paid off. It was nice to see so many names from "the past," Jane Paden, Jimmi Kay, Bob Phillips, Mike Higgins, etc. I had to chuckle, though, when I read Floyd is a lawyer. OF COURSE he's a lawyer! Go figure! I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. Moved here about six months ago from Norman, Oklahoma. I write for CNN Headline News and training to be a producer ... yup, that's right, I work for Jayne Fonda's husband. We have a pretty good "Okie" contingent here ... Stan Case (KEBC), Daryl Meyers (WKY), and Mike Boetcher (KWTV-9) to name three ... so I feel at home. Other than that, life's moving right along. I'm about to start scuba lessons. Diana, my significant other, is an instructor. We're looking forward to some nice "underwater" vacations. Haven't made it back to Mangum in a while, but would love to hear from the old gang. My e-mail address is Okierambler@hotmail.com I hope all is well and life is, as they say down here, just peachy. John Askins Class of 1972 Billie Sue (Shaw) Kehr '79 Hello MHS graduates!! What a great opportunity to find some misplaced friends. My name is Billie Sue Shaw Kehr, I am a graduate of the Class of 79. I hope everyone in my class got to see the pictures I sent to our 20 year reunion last year. Alaska is too far away to get down there very often but I hope to make it for our 25th. Is everyone getting older or is it just me? I am married to a great guy named Mitch who is a police officer here in Anchorage, Alaska. We have lived here for ten years and love it! We have two sons, Braxton, 13 and Miles, 9. I would love to hear from some of my friends from the past. I am especially interested in finding Lisa Lovett (Class of 80) if anyone knows where she might be. Please drop an e-mail, I would love to hear how everyone is and where you are. My e-mail is mkehr@mtaonline.net. Yes, we are modern enough in Alaska to have e-mail! Hope to hear from someone soon. I am really excited about the coming reunion in May. Lynda Wiginton Pittman has kept me posted about the class mates she's been able to locate. Last one I went to was our 25th. Anyone know what the theme will be this year? In case I don't make it, I do want to wish all the Y2K Graduates my heartiest congratulations and blessings for their futures. After several years of traveling full time, we returned to Wichita Falls, TX. We are hoping to hit the road again sometime in the future. What a wonderful time we had! And being a chaplain for Campers For Christ, we made many friends all over from the middle half of the U.S. to the western seas. We are now the grand parents of a great gr.son. He'll be a year old this month (Feb.). Now that Wayne is mostly retired, we love working in our courtyard and patio area. When we aren't doing that, I'm usually on the computer doing genealogy research. Hope to see all of you in May....if not, then I wish for you a good time & think of me. God's blessings on each of you. Jan Willard-Wiggins '50 Terri (Fanning) McFarland '81 Hi Mangum! I just ran across the M.H.S. Alumni web site & think it's wonderful!
